Hawke's Bay Yellow Tomato

Heirloom variety from the Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand. Medium-large yellow fruit with really nice flavour. They’re meaty and perfect for tomato sandwiches. Back in 2012 I got to visit the Koanga Institute in Hawke’s Bay, and brought this one back from their collection. 30 seeds

Graham's Goodkeeper Tomato

A really good multi-purpose variety, great for sauce or fresh eating. What makes this tomato unique is it’s ability to store and ripen over the fall and winter. The mature but still green fruit can be picked before the frost and ripened indoors. Store them somewhere cool and with good air circulation and they’ll ripen over a period of weeks or months. 30 seeds

OSU Blue Tomato

Round 3-4” red fruit with blue shoulders. Developed at Oregon State University; this was the first tomato variety with blue anthocyanin pigment. The end result of naturally cross pollinating a regular red tomato with a blue wild tomato relative. Tomato breeders have since run with this anthocyanin trait, and dozens of blue tomato varieties have appeared over the past ten years. This is the tomato that started it! Good flavour too. I like them in sandwiches and they're beautiful in salads. It's tempting to pick them too early before the flavour really develops, but be patient; they’re quite tasty when fully ripe. 30 seeds

Japanese Black Trifele Tomato

A beautiful and exceptionally rich pear-shaped tomato. Among the darkest of the black tomatoes, and definitely among the most flavourful. They also rarely split. Very productive. As far as I can tell, this variety actually originates in Russia... so the name is a bit of a mystery. 30 seeds

Another of Andy Pollock’s selections. Early and productive, this strain was selected for years for the fruit not to be damaged in light autumn frosts. Great for short-season areas! 30 seeds
