True Red Cranberry Bean - Annapolis Seeds
True Red Cranberry Bean (out of stock)

(Pole bean) Big round beans of the deepest dark red. A very old variety. It was recorded growing in 1700's Maine, although it's almost certainly a northeastern Indigenous variety with roots going back much further than that. Nearly lost, but rediscovered by bean collector John Withee growing on a farm in Steep Falls, Maine. Very productive and dependable. It holds it's shape in soups and chili. 20-30 seeds (15 g)

Marvel of Nictaux Bean - Annapolis Seeds - Nova Scotia Canada
Marvel of Nictaux Bean
Price: $3.00

Developed here on the farm - Large, flat, green pods with purple steaks, with cream and black streaked seeds. Good eaten small as a snap bean, but it's best as a fresh shelling bean or dry. Vigourous climbing vines, and pink blossoms.

In 2007 I grew a row of McGrath’s Africa, a pole bean with big purple pods and cream coloured seeds. A single plant in that row wanted to be a non-conformist, and sent out eye-catching streaked pods and seeds. I saved seed from that plant, and have been growing and stabilizing this strain ever since. - 30-50 seeds (15 grams)
