Alice Sunshine Bean
Alice Sunshine Bean
Price: $3.00

(Bush Bean) A good multi-purpose variety. The flat green pods are sweet and crunchy as a fresh snap bean and when left to mature and dry the amber splotched seeds make great dry beans. 30-50 seeds (15 grams)

Blue Jay Bean
Blue Jay Bean
Price: $3.00

(Bush Bean) Excellent eaten in the snap stage and also makes a beautiful dry bean (blue jay colours!). Originally developed by Russ Crow of Michigan, it was nearly lost before being found and brought back into production by Bob Wildfong. It made its way to me via Andrea Berry of Hope Seeds. Save these seeds and be part of the comeback! 30-50 seeds (15 grams)

Lazy Housewife Bean
Lazy Housewife Bean
Price: $3.00

(Pole Bean) My personal favourite snap bean. Plants are immensely productive. A well-tended patch will keep you in fresh beans all summer with enough left over to freeze or can. Plants are prolific climbers growing as high as you will let them. Provide a strong support as vines will be heavy when laden with pods. This was the first completely stringless snap bean developed in 1810. To top it off it’s also a good dry bean. Highly recommended. 30-50 seeds (15 grams)

Tanya's Pink Pod Bean
Tanya's Pink Pod Bean
Price: $3.00

(Bush Bean) Delicious and beautiful pink-podded snap bean. The pods develop more deeply pink shades in direct sun, while the more pods shaded under foliage are more blushed. Introduced by Dan Jason of Salt Spring Seeds. An apprentice named Tanya discovered the original pink plant while working in a row of purple Sequoia beans. 30-50 seeds (15 grams)

Scarlet Runner Bean
Scarlet Runner Bean
Price: $3.00

(Pole Bean) Stunning bright red flowers on dramatically rampant vines grew well beyond the 12 foot trellis we had for them this year. Pick and eat the fresh young beans for endless blooming, but be sure to grow them on a strong trellis or fence! Hugely ornamental and adored by the hummingbirds who came in droves. About 20 giant seeds (any more and they wouldn't fit!)

Velour Bean
Velour Bean
Price: $3.00

(Bush Bean) A deep-purple French filet style bush bean. Impressive yields of slender, crispy pods. Very uniform in production, which makes them easier to pick all at once for canning or freezing. Try staggering your plantings if you prefer to pick them over a longer period. 30-50 seeds (8 g)
