Kakai Hulless Pumpkin - Annapolis Seeds
Kakai Pumpkin (Sold out for 2018)
Price: $3.00

(C. pepo) Kakai pumpkins produce hulless seeds, which are dark green, high in oil, and delicious when roasted. The plants are vigorous and produce many beautifully striped green and orange pumpkins. Grown for the seeds; the flesh isn’t of table quality. 20 seeds

Connecticut Field Pumpkin (Sold out for 2018)
Connecticut Field Pumpkin (Sold out for 2018)
Price: $3.00

(C. pepo) An heirloom long grown by northeastern Native Americans, and adopted by early New England colonists. Nowadays grown mostly for jack-o-lanterns, these vigourous and dependable producers have more character and variation than your standard Halloween pumpkin. Fun to grow, and they make a good soup or muffin if the stringy flesh is pureed. 15 seeds

Long Pie Pumpkin - Annapolis Seeds - Nova Scotia Canada
Long Pie Pumpkin
Price: $3.00

(C. pepo) This remarkable pumpkin is a favourite at Yonder Hill. Resembling an overgrown dark green zucchini when pulled from the field, with an orange spot where the fruit had been resting on the ground. The skin turns a brilliant orange in storage. Excellent keepers through the winter, they are even stackable! The elongated shape means less seed cavity per fruit and more of the incomparably fluffy sweet flesh. An old favourite from Maine. 15 seeds - Limited supply in 2018

Musquee de Provence Pumpkin
Price: $3.00

(C. moschata) A beautiful old French heirloom. The large, deeply ribbed fruit stay mostly green at harvest time, but ripen to tan-orange after a short time in storage. The thick flesh is vibrant orange and very sweet, reminiscent of melon. Amazing pureed in pies and soups. The rampant vines are heavy producers. Can be a bit later to mature than other varieties. 20 seeds

Fortna White Pumpkin - Annapolis Seeds - Nova Scotia Canada
Fortna White Pumpkin
Price: $3.00

New for 2018 - (C. mixta) Long leafy vines, which bear huge harvests. Mid-sized pear-shaped fruit, with white skin. The thick yellow flesh isn’t particularly sweet or flavourful on it’s own, but I love to use it for squash soups. Also for ghost white jack-o-lanterns! I find C. mixta plants tend to be hardier and easier to grow than other squash species. A family heirloom, from the Fortna family of Pennsylvania. 20 seeds
